One crashes outside SIM, another dives into drain

One driver crashed into a road divider outside the Singapore Institute of Management, while another drove his taxi into a drain at Commonwealth Avenue.

STOMPer Chris saw an accident this morning at Clementi Road, right outside the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) at 7am today (May 21). The STOMPer said no one was injured in the accident and that it was raining.

The STOMPer writes:

"I saw this accident at 7am outside SIM.

"The driver must be speeding and lost control of the vehicle."

In response to STOMP's enquiry, the police was informed of a car crashing into a road divider along Clementi Road at 625am outside Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). The male driver was then conveyed to the hospital.

STOMPers Kathy, eddielim and Rajesh caught sight of a taxi which had somehow swerved at Commonwealth Avenue and landed in the drain.

Said Kathy:

"I saw this accident from my workplace. It happened around 1.30pm today."

STOMPer eddielim said:

"Taxi drives into drain.

"This happened at Commonwealth Avenue."

Rajesh said:

"Taxi fell into longkang (drain) at Commonwealth.

"A taxi overturned into a drain right below the Commonwealth MRT station today.

"Luckily there weren't any passengers in it."

PS:
Raining can cause much headache to drivers if not careful.
