Sounding horn to you 1 time is to warn you that you had sway into other car lane.

Sound 2nd time, is maybe you still didn't realised it.

Sound 3rd time with 2 tab, means you are close to hitting my vehicle.

Since you didn't signal that you want to filter in.

Neither did you want to filter in, since you had so much time to do so.

Instead of realising the danger you caused to everyone.

You did the stupid act of jam braking, endangering everyone.

Well, you didn't realised that there is such thing call car camera and social media.

As I didn't want to endanger my passengers, i chosen not to hit you even I had expected what you would do.

My advice to you "上的山多，终遇虎“.

Its just that I had picked up a couple from US.

And they chat about this case.

The guy said that it was a murder case.

And the Chinese was behind it.

I think he think too much.

Than he said Singapore Police are incompetent.

I got my 1st angbao from pax

After driving for the past few Chinese New Year.

I finally got an angbao from pax.

Its not about the amount inside it.

Its the thoughts that count.

It really made my day.

On call from mother and daughter

What are the chances that you got current call from both mother and daughter?

Well, I did encountered it.

That day I got a current call.

After accepting it, I felt strange when I try to see the address more clearly.

As the road was not a popular road, I remembered that I had a current call from it few days back.

As I reached there, I realised that its the same house as the one I had few days back.

After picking up the senior lady, I asked if the other lady is related to her.

(I remember her name as it not common and its the same as I of my customer from long time ago.)

She said its her daughter.

She was as surprised as me for this coincident.

Maybe cabbies should start learn kungfu?

Recently so many attacks on cabbies.

And most can't defend themselves.

So will it better if cabbies know some self defense to protect themselves?

But its not an easy skill to learn.

And how many cabbies will be willing to learn?

Being a cabby, you bound to meet strange people.

How you going to handle them is also a headache too.

So that was not a good day.

Cos just start shift for about 2hours, already got current call canceled when about to reach.

Felt frustrated, but still need to continue.

So I was really shocked when this passenger told me this.

'Pls take me to IMH emergency!'

I asked him if he was sure.

He said he was serious.

He said his wife want to divorce him.

He is afraid he might commit sucide.

I tried to go there asap.

I was afraid that he might hurt me.

But he didn't and we safely reached  IMH.

Schoold holidays

2012 is coming to an end soon.

School holidays is just around the concer.

Will cabbies' business drop?

Likely since previous years were the same.

As parents bringing their kids for overseas holidays.

So will the '6-7k' earning cabbies earn the same?

Aunty, Loyang is beside Pasir Ris.

That day got one aunty passenger at Eunos.

She wanted to go Pasir Ris.

So as usual, I asked which way she preferred.

She said PIE.

Next, I asked her which exit she preferred, Loyang?

She said she don't know where is Loyang.

Next she said that there is only one way to go there.

How come I don't know.

I told her there are more than 3 ways.

But she kept saying there is only one.

I don't want to argue with her.

And guess what, the exit she knows, Loyang/Tampines Ave 7 exit.

Really faints!

Is double checking consider rude?

Got a current call which was nearby where I am.

Reached pickup location in 1min, pressed call for passenger.

3min passed and not passenger show up.

Suddenly, a lady flag at me.

She said she the one.

But I decided to double confirm.

Why?

The reason being, the customer's for the call is a dialect surname.

But the lady don't look Chinese and she sounded like Filipino.

But wait, Caucasians also have this surname too.

But she don't looked or sounded like Caucasian.

But this double confirmation turned turned out to be a bad idea.

She said that I am rude to ask her.

She called the call centre and complained.

Even after I sent her to her destination, she still said I am rude.

Even I had kept quiet through the journey.

After she alight, there was a Caucasian lady wanted to take my cab.

She told her not to take, cos I got bad attitude.

But this lady still decided to take.

The Caucasian lady asked me what happened.

And I told her.

After hearing the story, she felt that lady over reacted.

Spiderman got grounded by Pocahontas

Wonder on Halloween night, how many cabbies had customers in costumes?

Well, I got 'Pocahontas' & 'Spiderman'.

I was surprised at first.

Than I realised its Halloween night.

So I asked why 'Spiderman' didn't just use his web?

He said he forgotten...haha.

I jokingly said that is it that he got grounded by 'Pocahontas'?

They broke into laughter.

6 kids, her God's gift

Got a current call from a lady.

When I got there, she asked me 'is it ok to take her since she got 6 kids with her'.

Well, since 2 kids = 1 adult, its ok.

She said its quite difficult for her to get a cab because of it.

I was surprised when she told me that all 6 kids are hers.

Its really very rare to see family with 4 kids, let alone 6.

As we chat, she said her kids are God's gift to her.

Why, cause most of them were unexpected.

Even her doctor was surprised too.

Both her husband and her, faithful to their religion, believed that kids are God's gift.

Good for them, and I salute them!

So with kids, if you want them, no matter how hard, you will want them.

If you don't, no matter give what, you will also don't want them.

Accent very strong leh

That day got 2 female passengers.

1 is French and the other is Filipino.

The were chatting all the way.

Than I heard the French lady telling the Filipino lady that she found some people's English accent very strong.

She listed people Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

And the Filipino lady readily agreed with her.

After hearing that, I almost laugh out.

Why...cos their accent is very strong too.

The other reason is both Australia and New Zealand are English speaking countries.

How wrong can their English be?

Its almost as good as like saying the British's' accent is very strong too.

Caucasian expats passengers said typical Singaporean gals

Married and pudgy, but white expat's a big draw

That day, got 2 male Caucasian expats passengers.

During the ride, they were talking about their dating experiences in Singapore.

So the 1st one start to say about hooking up with Singaporeans gals.

Next he said how the behave and appeared before him.

And the 2nd guy replied 'typical Singaporean gal'.

The 1st guy laughed and said 'true'.

I like to state that not all Caucasian are bad.

There will always be good and bad people.

Payment is either by card or cash

Got an Indian FT passenger.

The fare was $5.35.

And he passed me $0.35 and his ezlink card.

He said he want to pay this way.

So I told him, it's either by card or cash.

So he paid by cash.

I really wonder if he is really foreign talent.

Using ezlink card to pay, a $0.30 admin charge is confirm.

So why bother with paying $0.35 by cash?

Its such a simple logic, why make it so confusing?

Money Premier League?

Recently had an English family of 3 as passengers.

They are regular tourists to Singapore.

We started chatting about soccer.

The father is a die hard fan of Bristol Rovers.

A team in English League 2.

The son is a fan of Liverpool.

But he is currently a trainee at Arsenal's kids team.

So I asked him why he supported a League 2 team.

He said that he supported the team since childhood.

He also said that nowadays, the Premier League is not like last time.

Now it should be call Money Premier League.

Cos now majority of the players play for the highest bidders.

Now, not many players play for the love of the club.

And also the tickets had become very expensive.

Actually, I agreed with him.

I no longer want to watch it.

The league had become too money faced.

And I think its rare for players will play for 1 club from start to end of his career.

Its really sad...

SHD599, did you caused the accident at ECP?

Today met a cabby, SHD599 recklessly cut into my lane.

He had a passenger with him.

Looks like he mis judged his overtaking distance.

Luckily no accident because of it.

To this uncle,

You like to pay few thousands to yr company, don't get me involve.

You like to take a break, don't get me involve.

So did you caused the morning accident at ECP?

I don't know, cos I already got out of ECP.

If its really you, this is your karma.

If its not you, rushing also don't get you clear of the jam.

Is it really worth it for driving this way?

Kids get to choose...the taxi

One day, I was queuing at a taxi stand.

I was the 2nd cab.taxi

Next I saw a lady and a small kid opened the taxi infront.

But the kid just refused to get in.

And kid started to cry loudly.

The kid refused to get into the cab.

So the lady came to my cab.

She than assured the kid that my cab was not dark.

Kid also abit don't want to get in.

Than the lady decided just carried the kid in.

Strange...after they got in, the kid stopped crying.

The lady also told me the kid was afraid of the dark.

So I guess nowadays, parents with kid...the kids made the dicision about taking taxi.

A passenger from Luxembourg

That day got a current booking to go airport.

If not wrong, radio was talking about foreigners in Singapore.

So the passenger said that his country also have the same problem.

So I asked him which country he is from.

He said Luxembourg.

I heard before, its a landlocked country in Europe.

It have quite alot similarities with Singapore.

He said that if we think 1/3 is alot, theirs is 1/2.

He said most of their service people there are from other European countries.

Thus their elder citizens are quite pissed that they don't really speak their language.

Every country will have its pro and con.

There is no perfect country around.

So if you are looking for one, good luck to you.

Learn to be contend and you will live happier.

The red coupe's rackless act

(skip to 2min for the act)

Just now at about 7pm along the Upper Serangoon viaduct almost had an accident.

This red coupe (should be SJV2571) was behind me when entered the viaduct.

As the speed limit for the viaduct is 70km/hr, I was driving at 70-80km/hr.

I was on the right lane and there was a lorry on the left.

The driver for the red coupe was getting restless, thus he kept high beam me.

So when he got a chance to overtake me, he took revenge.

To this driver, 

I expected what you will do, thus I had slow down.

Without signaling and cutting in recklessly, you think you will win?

You think you will win if I hit the back of your car.

But you forgot there is such thing call car camera.

Should I send it to the Traffic Police?

Eh...Uncle, you cleaning my taxi leh...

One day after my shift, went top up petrol.

So while topping up, I go wet towel to clean the taxi.

When I came back, I saw an uncle cleaning my taxi.

Did I remember wrongly where I park?

So I checked the number plate.

Correct, its my taxi.

The uncle saw me and decided to see the number plate.

After seeing, he realised he had cleaned the wrong taxi.

I also couldn't help but laugh.

He also start laughing too.

So we both had a good laugh.
