STOMPer EpicLeon found this video of a taxi driver
arguing with the bus driver at the junction near Far East Plaza. The bus
blocked the adjacent road in trying to reach the other side, which was
heavily congested. EpicLeon thinks that the drivers should have been
more polite to one another.
Both the taxi driver and bus driver were unwilling to give way. The taxi driver managed to force his way into the bus lane, but almost collided into the bus.
Said the STOMPer:
"I found this video of a taxi driver arguing with the driver of bus 171 near Far East Plaza.
"The other side of the junction was packed, and so the bus blocked the taxi's way when trying to reach the other side.
"The cabbie stepped out of his taxi to snap a photo of the bus.
"He then banged the door of the bus and cursed the bus driver, saying that the bus cannot stop on the yellow box.
"The taxi driver then tried to edge his way into the lane that the bus was in, and almost collided with the bus.
"It is really sad that these drivers can't be polite and give way to others.
"No matter who had the right of way, they should have been more courteous to each other.
"We've enough accidents and road rage in Singapore already."
