Vietnam airline fined for unauthorised in-flight bikini dance

Low-cost carrier VietJet Air was fined $1,244 for hosting an unauthorised in-flight dance by a beauty pageant contestants dressed in bikinis.

Vietnam's aviation authorities fined the airline for first gaining permission for the Hawaiian-themed dance to celebrate its maiden flight between Ho Chi Minh City and the tourist hub of Nha Trang, reported the Tuoi Tre newspaper.

The three-minute danced was performed by five contestants of the pageant on Aug 3, while passengers recorded the the show on their mobile phones and later posted the videos online.

Chief inspector of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, Nguyen Trong Thang, was quoted as saying that the airline "violated local aviation regulations".

The incident created a stir in conservative Vietnam after photographs and video clips of the dance spread online.

PS:
The authorities don't know that 'Hawaiian-themed' mean?
Guess most people will know that the dress code will be beach wear.
Or rather bikini for the females.
