SINGAPORE - Giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia will be arriving in
Singapore next month, but the public will only be able to see them in
December.
Wildlife Reserves Singapore said the pandas will be housed at the Yangtze River zone in its upcoming attraction River Safari.
In the interim, they will be quarantined for a month and will take some time to get familiar with their new home.
The pandas will be taking a Singapore Airlines cargo flight out of China on September 6 and are expected to reach Changi Airport at 8.20am.
They will be transported in special crates that offer ventilation and adequate space to move.
The pair are on a 10-year loan from China to Singapore, to foster good ties. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
