SINGAPORE: A female former teacher has been charged with having sex with an underage student.
The accused and the boy, who is now 16 years old, cannot be named, as the court has imposed a gag order.
Court documents showed that the woman allegedly had consensual sex with the boy on the first occasion sometime in January this year. But the location of the alleged offence was not stated.
The former teacher is out on police bail.
She is expected to appear in court again on August 16.
If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine.
