STOMPer Ash feels that we can all learn from this
humble man, Bai Fang Li, a selfless trishaw peddler who donated his
earnings to help poor students continue with their studies.
Ash, who sent in the photos, said:
"A lesson to be learnt."
Bai Fang Li was a trishaw peddler who donated a total of 350,000 yuan (S$70,000) to support needy children who were too poor to go to school.
For almost 20 years, to save up for his donations, Bai Fang Li worked hard operating his trishaw every day.
His devotion started in 1987 when he was 74 years old. In 2005, he passed away at the age of 93.

PS:
How many of us can be like him?
Donating life savings to help others.
But one should help within one's means.
Or else one will end up needing help.
