Accident at Woodlands

STOMPer Leng Kern spotted an accident involving a cab and a lorry this morning (April 13) at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 5 and Avenue 4. According to the STOMPer, at least 2 other accidents have occurred at this junction.

He wrote:

"There was yet another accident at the traffic junction of Woodlands Avenue 5 and Woodlands Avenue 4 this morning at about 8 am. This time involving a Comfort taxi and a lorry.

"From the picture, it seems the taxi must have made a U-turn and got hit by the lorry that was travelling towards Avenue 4. Many accidents have happened at this junction, two of which had been featured in STOMP previously at these links:
Lorry driver dies in chain collision at Woodlands Ave 5
Motorbike crashes at 'accident prone' Woodlands junction

"Today's accident was quite bad, as the lorry was damaged and the entire front windscreen came off and was found on the road. Not sure whether anyone was injured. Drivers like to speed along this stretch of road.

"Besides the Woodlands Avenue 5/4 junction, the junction further down near Seagate has also seen many accidents, many of which have been featured in STOMP.

"These drivers posed dangers to pedestrians on the road who may be crossing. Taxi drivers like to switch lanes, make illegal U-turns and tend to speed, thereby causing accidents.

"LTA and the traffic police should visit these accident prone junctions and do something before more accidents happen."

PS:
Who caused the accident?
Only they will know.
But drivers, pls be more careful.
