SINGAPORE - Healthcare provider Parkway Shenton and the National Taxi
Association (NTA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the
healthcare group to provide more affordable general practitioner (GP)
services to taxi drivers who are members of NTA and their immediate
family members.
From August, all NTA members and their immediate family members need only pay S$22 for each visit to the GP clinics under the Parkway Shenton Medical Group. This applies to visits related to acute illness and includes the consultation fee and up to three standard medications.
The primary healthcare group also offers free medical assessment on fitness to drive for all NTA members aged 70 years and above, and last month launched a comprehensive suite of statutory medical assessment packages for taxi drivers starting from S$12 per examination.
