Cabby charged with hit-and-run fatal accident at East Coast Parkway



A taxi driver was charged on Monday with offences connected to a fatal hit-and-run accident along East Coast Parkway.
Ng Chin Huat, 62, is accused of causing the death of motorcyclist Hussain Abdullah Bagarib, 60, by failing to keep a proper lookout which resulted in the cab hitting the back of the rider's motorbike at about 11.45pm on May 20 last year.
He allegedly failed to stop after the accident, failed to render assistance, and removed his vehicle from the scene of the accident.
Ng was represented by Mr K. Anparasan, who applied for an adjournment.
