Reckless driver almost knock into taxi, motorcycle when changing lanes

A man was caught driving recklessly along Bukit Timah Road by STOMPer Zack, who almost got knocked down by him twice when the driver tried to switch lanes. According to the STOMPer, the driver also caused a taxi to swerve away to avoid hitting him.

The STOMPer wrote:

"These photos were taken by my wife, who was riding pillion with me.

"A driver in a Mazda 323 Protege, bearing the plate number SDY8851D, was driving recklessly and changing lane dangerously. The incident took place along Bukit Timah road, outside KK Hospital, towards Sungei Road at about 4:20pm last Thursday (Apr 12). At that time, there was heavy traffic from Bukit Timah Road up till Sungei road.

"My wife and I were on our motorcycle when the silver-coloured Mazda, exiting from the Kampong Java Road split lane, suddenly swerved towards us from the left, almost hitting us if not for a few inches.

"Sensing something wasn't right, I quickly picked up speed to avoid any mishap.

"While moving slowly in the heavy traffic, the driver kept tailgating us and kept a close distance behind us before he tried to overtake us on the right side -- again leaving just a few inches of space between us and him.

"Then, we were then travelling in the middle lane and he tried to maneuver his car to get in between 2 lanes, forcing us out of our lane as there was a car on our right as well.

"Later on, he forced a taxi to swerve away and avoid being hit by him.

"We saw a child on board the car with him and feel that he should set a good example by driving safely."

PS:
Another with taxi mentioned, but not at fault.
