A Chinese chef residing in New York won US$1million ($1.26m) in lottery money, but lost it all at a casino. His wife divorced him and he is now hiding from moneylenders.
31-year-old Zou Bingsheng, originally from Fujian, won the $1.26m after he bought a US$20 ($25) lottery ticket in 2009. He and his wife planned to use the money to open a hair salon and sushi shop, but Zou lost all the money overnight at a casino in Connecticut.
He also incurred huge debts from gambling. He angry wife Liu Liqin divorced him the following year and Zou went into hiding to evade moneylenders. The moneylenders started harassing Liu after they failed to locate Zou.
The couple have a 4-year-old daughter.

"If I were his wife I'd have done the same thing and divorced him. Now not only have they lost their windfall, the couple is also mired in debts as moneylenders have been harassing the wife after Zou went into hiding.

"Top top it all off, Zou is really irresponsible. Instead of using the money to provide a good life for his wife and young daughter, he got himself into debt and abandoned his family."
PS:
Really idiot!
But I guess its his fate to win but not his fate to have it.
Gambling without control can ruin a person or a whole family's life.
