Blogger Xiaxue's revenge

Fight fire with fire.

That's what celebrity blogger Wendy Cheng, also known as Xiaxue, did when she was repeatedly flamed on Facebook over the past week.

Temasek Review (TR) had posted a series of Cheng's photos -- taken during the run-up to the People's Action Party (PAP) rallies with her fellow bloggers last May -- and asked its readers to caption the pictures. Of three photos posted, two were taken from her blog and one from fellow blogger, Qiu Qiu.

In all, the three posts garnered over 350 comments, of which many were insulting or downright derogatory.

Not taking it lying down, Cheng responded by writing her own blog post titled “The Faces of Haters” on Thursday, naming and shaming the eight men who left nasty comments about her on TR’s Facebook page, which has over 10,000 followers.

Trawling their public Facebook pages for information and photos, Cheng turned the table on the men by posting their photos in her own blog, accompanied by a short write-up of each. To one who called her a “Geylang chicken”, she posted a photo of the man, seen posing with his friends, with the accompanying note, “Are those ladies surrounding you also Geylang chickens? Is your mother a Geylang chicken? See it isn’t nice to assume.”

To another man who had commented, “pretty and sexy girls, which part of geylang they work?”, she posted a photo of him, his wife and young children, with the note, “He is married with two cute kids. I wonder how he will feel like if in future men ask his daughter which part of Geylang she works at?”

Cheng, a full-time blogger who has been upfront and candid of her support for the PAP, said she has received a lot of flak in the last year.

“I’ve blogged for 10 years and I’ve covered the most controversial topics but nothing, and I mean nothing, have gotten me more hate as me supporting the PAP,” wrote Cheng, 28, who is married to the man she has been dating for the last seven years.

“[The mean comments] lasted for a whole year, got me several hate sites and hate parody accounts. People wish death upon me and my family, threatening to hurt me if they ever see me,” she said.
She explained in her blog that although she “detests men who write s**t about girls online”, she would not have written about the men if they didn’t bully her or her friends in the first place. She also said she didn’t know why Temasek Review dragged up her photos from last year since she knew nothing about the ongoing Hougang by-election.

Her gutsy post on Facebook has got 11,000 likes to date and sparked a major buzz in the Singapore blogosphere.

However, fellow bloggers Lee Kinmun (@mrbrown) and Benjamin Lee (@miyagi) lauded her for standing up against her haters. “Remember when you were young and your mother told you not to play with fire? Meet Fire,” mrbrown tweeted.

Another blogger Pat Law (@patlaw) tweeted, “At the core of it all, @xiaxue stood up against cyberbullying from GROWN UP MEN from Singapore & defended her friends. Thank you @xiaxue.”

Others felt she also did the right thing.

Singapore Management University student Chong Siew Yee told Yahoo! Singapore  that Cheng did a good job of outing the men who labelled her a prostitute.

“Given that some of them are actually dads, [I am] worried for their kids future because I wonder what values these dad might bring to their kids,” Chong said.

“And insulting women in such a distorted manner is a thing that all men should not even do in the first place!” the economics student added.

Gender equality advocacy AWARE Singapore also joined the conversation and praised her for waging a one-woman war against online misogyny.

But some felt that she crossed the line when she posted photos of her detractors’ family and friends.

Shawn Lim (@mediumshawn) tweeted, “Doing what she did to those who flamed her, Xiaxue has stooped even lower than them. She doesn't even realise it. Shows how low her IQ is.”

One of the eight men featured, Isaac, 23, said that he didn’t mind taking a few hits from her since he started by commenting on her photo.

“But what makes my blood boil her is her putting up a photo of my friend, who has nothing to do with the situation and knows absolutely nothing about her. She should have cropped my friend out of the picture,” Isaac told Yahoo! Singapore.

Hong Xing, one of the guys Cheng exposed, said, “We should be responsible for our harsh, nasty comments. We are responsible for it but we didn’t expect our family photo [to be included] as they are innocent. Put yourself in our [shoes] and you will know.”

PS:
I am no fan of Xiaxue, neither did I read her blog before.
But when I read about this on the news.
(This was the topic on radio fm93.8's morning show on 31may2011)
As from what I see, all these started with the photo above.
The photo was posted on Temasek Review's facebook page asking for comment.
The reason I see why this whole thing started was because of her politic party alignment.
Well, if they never gone too far with their insults...all these won't happened.
Those insults really were too much.
They expected her not to do anything.
But they were dead wrong.
She hit them back hard.
I said that she had all the rights to do so.

I really wonder why Temasek Review want people to comment on this photo for?
So much talk on their side about freedom and democracy.
Those people forgotten that Xiaxue has the right to choose whom she believe.
They want people to respect their choice...than respect her choice.
If you all want to reason with her, go ahead.
But please don't do personal insults.
You all won't like if it was done on you.
If you think you are safe on the internet...you are dead wrong.

No matter how busy...pls do some exercise

No matter how busy...pls do some exercise.
Last year, I will try to go jogging once a week.
But at the end of the year, it started to rain regularly.
Thus I became lazy and stopped.
About 2mths I stopped, I started to felt tired.
I also start to get sick.
Thus I decided that I had to start exercising.
Thus I bought a bike.

Why a bike?
Cos I still feel lazy to jog.
So I think cycling is not a bad choice.
Now I cycle about twice a week.
I felt more refresh.
I guess exercising is one of the cheap way to stay healthy.
It will not stop you from becoming sick.
It will be able to cut  it down.
So let's start exercising!

Parents, pls look after your kids' safety

Dear Parents, pls look after your kids' safety.
Why I said this...
It is because I seen quite alot of parents allow their kids to play around in the car.
Your kids are your treasures, why put them in danger?

I met this type of passengers before.
They had 2 young kids with them.
The 1st parent went in the cab...follow by the 2 kids.
Last to enter is the other parent.
But the 1st parent inside the cab didn't get get the kids to sit properly.
So when the last parent also didn't get the kids to sit properly when got in.
I waited for about 3seconds after the door was closed, I started to move off slowly.
Next I know, they scream at me cos their kids wasn't in seat.
I don't want to argue back.
But I really wanted to tell them...
Pls look after your kids' safety.
Pls don't blame others for your failed responsibility.

Another accident at Ferrari crash site

SINGAPORE - Early this morning, at the same traffic junction where a Ferrari fatally crashed into a taxi on May 12, another taxi was hit by a luxury car piloted by a man who has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving.

Today's accident, which occurred at about 3am this morning, did not end in tragedy, although video capture showed the taxi spinning across three lanes of Rochor Road, after being hit by a Lexus which beat a red light on Victoria Street.

Only the male passenger in the taxi was injured and was sent to the Singapore General Hospital for outpatient treatment, The 30-year-old driver of the Lexus took a breathalyser test which showed 42 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes per 100ml.

In the May 12 accident, three people died: The driver and passenger of the taxi, as well as the man behind the wheel of the Ferrari.

PS:
This junction really black spot.
Same Sat early morning and time almost the same.
But lucky no death this time.

Really stupid taxi uncle!!!!!! Part 3

STOMPer Dr4g0nkk spotted this cab driver using his cellphone while driving. The STOMPer felt that drivers should stay alert and focused on the roads.

Said the STOMPer:

"Apparently this cabby was using his phone while driving.

"I think all drivers must focus and stay alert on the road, not on your mobile phones."

PS:
Too lazy to say anything liao.
Don't they ever learn?
Even you don't fully understand.
At least know what the new phone can do lah!

Car and taxi crash at Potong Pasir junction

STOMPer LazyAnt spotted the aftermath of an accident at the junction of Serangoon Road and Potong Pasir. The STOMPer says it was reminiscent of the Ferrari-taxi crash at Rochor Road that killed three.

The STOMPer wrote:

"Accident at the crossroads.

"Came across an accident at the junction of Serangoon Road and Potong Pasir at 11pm last night.

"Almost a carbon copy of the accident at Bugis but less fatal.

"Firstly, it also happened at a junction, and secondly, the scenario seemed similar, like one vehicle had beat the red light and hit the other.

"Basically, carelessness and the failure to look out.

"When I arrived, only the vehicles were at the scene."

STOMP contacted the police and a spokesperson said:

"Police received a call on 25 May at about 11.45pm, informing us of a traffic accident at the junction of Potong Pasir Avenue 1 and Upper Serangoon Road involving a car and a taxi.

"The driver of the car was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

PS:
Whose fault?
Difficult to say.
We all should really be more careful on the road.
Better be late than be sorry.

Can we reach airport in 25min?

"Can we reach airport in 25min?"
Thats the question this on call customer asked me.
"As long no traffic jam and smooth on traffic lights, should be able."
Thats my reply to him.
The place of pick up was at The Cathay.
When he was on board with his friend, he asked me to try to go as fast as possible.
The reason being thats the time he had left to check in.
He told me that he bought the ticket about 3hr ago.
Lucky for him, basically no red lights along the way.
Also on ECP got not much traffic.
I also drive within the speed limit allow.
Thus was able to reach in about 20min.
So he rush in to check in while his friend paid.
So in the end did he managed to checked in?
I don't know.
What I knew was that his ticket not cheap.

Taxi beats red light at Ferrari crash spot

STOMPer webnick saw the driver of this white Mercedes taxi accelerating to beat the red light at the location of the recent Ferrari accident. He hopes that the traffic police keep such drivers off the roads.

Said the STOMPer:

"Are Singapore roads safe to use now?

"I just witnessed a taxi accelerating past an amber light, to beat the red light near the location where the fatal Ferrari crash occurred two weeks ago.

"Will the traffic police do something about drivers like this?"

Check out images 1 to 14 for screenshots of the reckless driving by the Mercedes taxi driver in the gallery below, and pictures of the recent Ferrari crash in the rest of the gallery.

PS:
This STOMPer didn't post the full clip...thus can't really see if taxi got beat red light or not.
If from the posted clip, taxi didn't beat red light.
I also don't find taxi driver is any way reckless too.

Cabby molested maid and flashed himself at her

THE first time he was caught sexually harassing his maid, Chua Chee San was apologetic.

He told the 24-year-old Indonesian that he was sorry for hugging her from behind and touching her inappropriately.

But that did not stop him from doing it again – this time pulling down his underwear and flashing at her.

Yesterday, the 42-year-old cabby was jailed for six months.

Chua, who has two children, first molested the maid in October 2010, just two weeks into her new job with the family, the prosecution told the court.

After entering her room in the Sengkang flat, he placed his hands on her upper arms while she was ironing clothes. She covered her chest with her hands as Chua hugged her from behind.

The maid told his wife, who confronted him. A few days later, he apologised.

In January last year, the maid was cleaning the toilet in the master bedroom when she saw Chua lowering his underwear and exposing himself to her. Again, she told his wife, who scolded him.

The offences came to light last September when the maid wrote about them on a feedback form that she sent to the Manpower Ministry. Staff called the police.

Chua pleaded guilty to outraging and insulting modesty. A similar charge was considered.

PS:
This case has nothing to do with his job.
It just so happened that his job is a cabby.

Did WP treat Hougang voters as idiots?

I usually try to avoid talking about politics.
Why...cos its a black hole.
There is no end to it.
To me, politics is a dirty game.
So its best not to get too involve.
I am neutral with most of my views.
But I do know that both side will accused me of being pro the other party.I like to state that I am not pro any party.

Singapore is my home.
I am pro Singapore.

This time too many pots and kettles.
LTK said some people sabotage them.
Than DC also got people said he try to bribe people to vote for him.
So who tried to sabotage him?
I will say this time, LTK and WP shot themselves in the foot.

WP stated they fight for democracy, but they don't practice it.
If Png is not interested in NCMP, why put his name for voting?
Isn't it forcing him to do things against his will?

If Png is so firm about his believe?
Why didn't he insist that his name be taken out?

Since Png is involved in the NCMP voting process, why did he said he took his name out?
Than now said people got his meaning wrong?
But his words were so direct, how get meaning wrong?

As for Yaw case, LTK suddenly stated that he don't know him well.
Is it possible?
As a leader, you should know whom you are choosing for important position.
As a businessman, your judgement skills also have to be higher that the average people.
If you know and work with him less than 2 years, maybe you can see wrong.
But more than 5years working together, you can't see if a person is reliable or not...you got to be kidding.
Or are you lying.
Or you like his sucking up so much that you misjudged.

So did WP treat Hougang voters like idiots?
Or are they willing to be their idiots?
You judge for yourself.
I not a voter there, so its not me going to vote.

Please try to know that no matter which country or city....
There are bound to be good and bad.
There is no perfect in this world.
The more you try to find perfect, the more you will never be happy.

Govt to offer grants for wheelchair-accessible taxis

SINGAPORE - With anxiety among wheelchair users over the phasing out of London Cabs next year, the Government will be giving grants to taxi operators to operate taxis which can accommodate larger and high-back motorised wheelchairs.

Through this grant, the Government hopes to encourage operators to double the fleet size of wheelchair-accessible taxis from the current 15 London Cabs, said Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports Chan Chun Sing, when he announced the grant yesterday.

Currently, wheelchair commuters can only make use of London Cabs to get around. However the licences of these London Cabs will expire next March.

Speaking after a visit to the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD), Mr Chan said: "I understand the anxiety among London Cab users about the phasing out of these taxis in 2013."

Taxi operators can submit proposals applying for the grant from yesterday until June 25. They will be assessed on criteria such as the ability of the vehicles to accommodate different types of wheelchairs, and service standards on required booking time and availability to wheelchair users.

A spokesperson for the Ministry for Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) said that funding support would be provided to successful applicants to defray the Certificate of Entitlement and Additional Registration Fee of wheelchair-accessible taxis through the grant.

"The total amount of grant will depend on the eventual fleet size. For example, if the fleet is 30 vehicles, the grant could be about S$3 million," said the spokesperson. "Successful applicants for this grant would also have to adhere to the existing quality service standards for all taxis. We are also looking to reduce the wait time for advance bookings from three days to two days (48 hours)."

The ministry also encouraged taxi operators to channel a portion of their revenue or profit back to help people with disabilities.

Speaking to reporters yesterday, SPD president Chia Yong Yong said: "Aside from offering grants to taxi companies to provide this, we hope that the authorities will also ensure that the transport operators offer an affordable and safe transport system for people with disabilities, including adequate training for drivers so that they are able to effectively assist passengers with disabilities."

She added: "We also hope to see greater accessibility both in the transport system and infrastructure that would enable people with disabilities to truly step out without barriers."

What's your shortest trip you ever encountered?

What's your shortest trip you ever encountered?
For me, the distance is 0.
That day was quite near the toto $10M draw.
I got a on-call.
When I reach there, the lady asked me what's my Chinese zodiac sign?
When I told her, she said clashed with her Chinese zodiac sign.
Thus she paid me the on call and start meter fare and ask me to go.
Not often got this type of lobang.
Only once in a blue moon than will get lucky.

Red-light rogues still bold after Ferrari crash

The junction where the Ferrari crash occurred two Saturdays ago
is notorious for motorists running the red light.

and saw six vehicles running the red light.
Meanwhile, Mr Muhammad Najib Ghazali, 26, the motorcyclist who survived
the crash that left three dead, is struggling to recover from physical injuries and mental scars.

Are we driving more recklessly?

马路如虎口 meaning the road is like the tiger's mouth.
As the tiger is a dangerous animal.
So the road is really a dangerous place.
The ferrari case had became a big case with 3 deaths involved.
One week later, another case involved another death.
Are we driving more recklessly?
But with so many road users, we can't control how others drive.
So we can only try to drive more carefully ourselves.
Thus will reduce chances of accident from happening.

He also tweeted about his loneliness and said that if he died, he would die alone.
Later that day, Mr Mohamed Shahidy Affendi, a 23-year-old ITE student,
was killed in an accident involving his motorcycle and a taxi.
The victim’s elder brother, Mr Mohamed Afhamnasry, 28,

Now than I know taxi got no airbig.
Even this kind of money they want to save...sigh.

Cabby refuses to return pregnant mum's ATM card until she cleans daughter's vomit

STOMPer Farhana faced an inconsiderate and rude Comfort Delgro taxi driver when she was travelling from Woodlands to Outram Park on May 14 at around lunch time with her 1 year old daughter.

Her daughter threw up upon reaching their destination and she immediately apologised.

The taxi driver, however, passed her a bottle of water and a roll of toilet paper, and insisted she cleans the seat up before returning her ATM card.

The next passenger told the taxi driver off and refused to take his taxi upon witnessing this.

STOMPer has lodged a complaint against this taxi driver of car license plate SHA3510.

The STOMPer wrote:

"On May 14 at around lunch time, I called for a Comfort Delgro taxi at Woodlands to travel to Outram Park.

"The taxi's car license plate was SHA3510.

"It was fine throughout the entire journey but when we were about to reach our destination, my daughter vomitted in the taxi.

"I told the taxi driver that I was really sorry.

"It wasn't that messy and instead of offering help, he passed me a roll of toilet paper and a bottle of water and ordered me to clean up the seat.

"He was so inconsiderate!

"When I asked for my ATM card back, he told me to clean his seat up first before he would return it to me.

"Luckily, the next passenger told him off for asking a pregnant lady and a crying child to clean his seat.

"This passenger then decided not to take his taxi and walked away.

"Because of this incident, my one year old daughter is scared of people now.

"I have lodged a complaint against this taxi driver and I am still waiting for a response, this taxi driver seriously had no manners at all!"

PS:
STOMPer should at least offered to pay for the cleaning if you don't want to clean.

Cabby bangs on bus door and swears at driver over road dispute near Far East Plaza

STOMPer EpicLeon found this video of a taxi driver arguing with the bus driver at the junction near Far East Plaza. The bus blocked the adjacent road in trying to reach the other side, which was heavily congested. EpicLeon thinks that the drivers should have been more polite to one another.

Both the taxi driver and bus driver were unwilling to give way. The taxi driver managed to force his way into the bus lane, but almost collided into the bus.

Said the STOMPer:

"I found this video of a taxi driver arguing with the driver of bus 171 near Far East Plaza.

"The other side of the junction was packed, and so the bus blocked the taxi's way when trying to reach the other side.

"The cabbie stepped out of his taxi to snap a photo of the bus.

"He then banged the door of the bus and cursed the bus driver, saying that the bus cannot stop on the yellow box.

"The taxi driver then tried to edge his way into the lane that the bus was in, and almost collided with the bus.

"It is really sad that these drivers can't be polite and give way to others.

"No matter who had the right of way, they should have been more courteous to each other.

"We've enough accidents and road rage in Singapore already."

PS:
2 stupid drivers refusing to give way to each other.
Lucky they didn't start a fight.

"I just watched a movie at Cineleisure around midnight and was walking to the bus stop.

"A Comfort cab hit three other cabs, which were two Comfort cabs and one Trans cab.

"The blue Comfort cab was the one that caused the other three cabs to collide together.

"There were no injuries but the cars were pretty badly damaged."

PS:
4 taxis involved.
Looks like more people will think bad about cabbies.

Taxi crashes into drain at Toa Payoh

STOMPer Goan saw a taxi that had crashed into a drain at Toa Payoh Central, in front of Block 78C. The incident was spotted by the STOMPer at about 6pm on May 15.

Said the STOMPer:

"The incident took place in Toa Payoh Central, in front of BLK 78C.

"I spotted this at around 6pm.

"By that time the traffic policemen were there already, so I didn't go closer to find out more.

"It seemed like there was no one injured, as there was no ambulance at the accident site."

PS:
How the taxi crashed into the drain?
All drivers should really be more careful when on the road.

Are cabbies forcing passengers to make bookings just for the extra charge?

STOMPer Tarabas is disappointed with our taxi services. He often waits long periods for taxis, and claims that this is because many taxi drivers only respond to bookings and not passengers who flag cabs.

Said Tarabas:

"Time and again, I have faced this situation.

"I get frustrating waits for taxis on weekday nights, mid afternoons or mornings.

"I have long given up complaining as I do not see anything done after each complaint.

"There are taxis choosing destinations or refusing to stop, especially at night.

"I mentioned giving up complaining, so why am I writing this?

"I was waiting at the taxi stand near Mustafa on Saturday, at around 5.30pm.

"An elderly Caucasian tourist asked me why are taxis are so hard to come by, and why taxis with "Call Waiting" signs are waiting so long in front of taxi stands without any passengers.

"You do not need me to explain why if you are a Singaporean.

"These drivers are just taking advantage of desperate passengers and think that they can make more money by waiting for a booking.

"If nothing changes, I am afraid tourists here will spread the word all over the world about the standards of taxi services here."

PS:
I agreed that some cabbies do only booking jobs.
But some cabbies are not even keen on booking jobs.
So STOMPer Tarabas is wrong to blame all cabbies.
Maybe he think he is the only one waiting for taxi.
Or he think there is no such thing as traffic lights, jams, breakdown etc?

Are you sure this way to Ang Mo Kio?

This is not my story, but one of my taxi kopi friend.
This happened about 2mths back.
He had went overseas with his wife.
And on that day, they just returned from the trip.
So they took a taxi home to Ang Mo Kio.
There are only 2 roads out of the airport.
One is by ECP and the other is PIE.
So the route is either go by PIE than TPE or CTE.
But to his surprised, the taxi uncle go by ECP.
By this way, he will be making a very big round.
My friend being a cabby himself, immediately know about it.
He told taxi uncle exit at the expressway and let him alight.
He paid taxi uncle and asked for a receipt.
What's the aftermath...I don't know leh.

My thoughts on driving

When I 1st got my driving license years ago, I can't wait to get my hands behind the wheels.
The 1st 5 years, I only get to drive once in a long while.
Than got a sales job, need a car to move around to visit customers.
So wish came true, can drive all I want.
Than come part time taxi driving.
After some many years and km of driving, also seeing and involving in accidents...
I am abit sick of it.
So if I can don't drive, I won't.

Why I suddenly decided to write these?
This morning, news out that the cabby involved is brain dead.
Accidents are a daily affairs, any where in the world with vehicles.
We can only try to be more careful on our part.

Taxi has to squeeze past man rollerblading in middle of road

STOMPer Kelvint says this rollerblader was hogging a road lane for a while before a taxi managed to squeeze past him. The STOMPer also noticed a group of cyclists hogging another lane.

He wrote:

"Dangerous road users.

"This was taken on Saturday, May 12 2012 at 9.30am.

"The rollerblader was the worst because he had occupied the leftmost lane for quite a while before the taxi managed to squeeze through.

"Can the authorities do something before an accident happens? Or there is no law against these people?"

STOMPer Morris came across another cyclist cycling in the middle of a road:

"It's a common sight on the road nowadays where cyclists dangerously cycle in the MIDDLE of the lanes meant for driving.

"Come on, you can cycle at the side right?

"You are causing a road hazard when people need to change lanes abruptly to avoid knocking into you, or by avoiding you, it jams up the other lanes.

"I hope traffic police can do something about these cyclists."

PS:
Its really dangerous for the man to blade on the road, especially in the middle of it.
They only endanger themselves and other road users.

Take care of your health

Recently, people are becoming sick.
Likely is because of the weather.
So everyone, please take care.

Cross-border taxi trips easier from next month

SINGAPORE - From next month, commuters taking cross-border taxis in Singapore and Malaysia will be able to board and alight anywhere on the domestic leg of the journey. This would mean, for example, that a commuter taking a Singapore cross-border taxi can board or alight anywhere in Singapore.

Currently, cross-border taxis are only allowed to pick up and drop off commuters at two designated terminals: Ban San Street terminal in Singapore and Pasar Bakti terminal in Johor Baru. However, commuters still need to board and alight at the designated terminals when they are not on the domestic leg.

The change was announced in a press statement issued after the ninth working meeting of the Malaysia-Singapore Joint Ministerial Committee (JMC) for Iskandar Malaysia yesterday.

To boost connectivity between Iskandar Malaysia and Singapore, Malaysia's Land Public Transport Commission and Singapore's Land Transport Authority have awarded a tender for the Malaysia-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) link joint engineering study to the consortium of AECOM Singapore, AECOM Perunding and SA Architects.

It will determine the technical parameters for the RTS Link between Singapore and Johor Baru to achieve a convenient and cost-effective system that is well-integrated with public-transport services on both sides.

This will be done in two phases. In Phase 1, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year, the consultant will look into technical parameters and propose options for the link.

The Malaysia-Singapore JMC for Iskandar Malaysia will decide on the option that will be studied further in the second phase.

The meeting was co-chaired by Mr Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Malaysia's Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, and Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Singapore's Minister for National Development. Also present were the Chief Minister of Johor, Mr Abdul Ghani Othman, and Singapore's Minister for Transport, Mr Lui Tuck Yew.

PS:
Passengers will be happy.
Not sure about the cabbies, especially if they only do cross-border job.

Illegal taxi queue outside Cineleisure

STOMPer Patience says this illegal taxi queue that is often seen outside Orchard Cineleisure is causing jams along Grange Road.

She wrote:

"I wonder of the authorities can do anything about this illegal taxi queue along Grange road. It causes a huge jam between Cairnhill, Grange and Orchard Road, and also the lines along the road shows that no parking is allowed.

"It's also a pity for those waiting for taxis at Somerset 313 when the taxis are just at another junction."

PS:
I think this queue only form during the night which have much lesser traffic.
So how much jam can it caused?
