Bali...Ladies' favour paradise?

Bali...a known beach paradise to many.
With many beautiful beaches and sea.
But is it really just a beach paradise only?
I never been there before.
But a reputation as a ladies' paradise?
I never hear before...till a female friend told me.
She had went there for backpack traveling.
While she was there, she got a local guide for some guided sight seeing.
And the next thing she know, the guide hinted to her about sleeping over in her room.
She told him to fly kite.
So the guide told these:
'Jap & AngMo(Caucasian) ladies very good!'
'Singapore ladies good!'
'Malay & Indian ladies ok!'
'China ladies no good!'
I guess he meant about the ladies paying power.
After hearing this, I can't believe it.
But after searching the net, I came across these 2 reports.
So looks like this has been around for some times.
So who said that only guys go overseas to play?
Gals do too.

Motorcyclist injured in accident at Bishan

STOMPer Kelvin L was alerted to an accident that had taken place outside his house when he heard some women screaming. He says a motorcyclist involved in the accident had to wear a neck brace.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I heard screams from the ladies down at the bus stop from my house at Bishan Street 13. I happened to look down and saw this accident right at the carpark entrance.

"Seems that the motorcyclist is unable to sit up. Evidently, he had to wear a neck brace when the paramedics arrived.

"This road here has seen numerous accidents already. This is one level up with a quite a serious injury.

"Motorcyclists and drivers, please concentrate on your driving and drive with care and not arrogance. The road belongs to no one."

PS:
Accident is no good to anyone.
Please be more careful on the road!
I know that even how careful we can be, we don't know about the ohter party.

Taxi mounts kerb on Scotts Rd and crashes into 2 bikes

STOMPer A1 saw a taxi which mounted the kerb right outside DFS Galleria along Scotts Road and crashed into two motorbikes yesterday. (March 27)

The STOMPer wrote:

"This happened just outside DFS Galleria at Scotts Road on March 27, 2012."

In response to a query from STOMP, a spokesperson for the Police said:

Upon Police’s arrival, it was established that a taxi had a collided onto two motorcycles. No one was injured and the parties involved were advised on their legal recourse."

PS:
Cabbies, please be more careful.
With internet so accessible, you never know you might be in the news.

She is my ex-GF

Picked up 1 male and 1 female customer at a high end hotel.
They were going to airport.
Male going T1 and female going T3.
From their chatting, they seem like friends.
But after the female alight at T3, the male said this to me...'She is my ex-GF'.
Next he said... 'Would you believe it?'
'We haven't meet each other for 6years.'
'I am station in HK, and not in Singapore for the past 2years.'
'She is station in India, and not in Singapore for the past 6years.'
'And guess what, we both stayed at the same hotel during this trip.'
And how high is the probability that we will meet?'
So I told him...'Guess its fate.'

PS:
Singapore say big is not big, small is not small.
I can say even my friend stay same block as me...I also didn't meet him by chance.
But I did meet a friend in Australia during a company trip.
That was really by chance.

VIP customer....

Today got a 'special' booking.
The customer is CDG's VIP customer.
CDG really keep track of all their booking jobs...especially VIP ones.
I picked up the VIP customer on time.
Started the meter and moved off.
About 5min into the journey, I got a call from CDG call centre.
The lady asked me if I had picked up the customer.
I said yes and already on the move.
She said that the system still stated no pickup yet.
She asked if I had on meter.
I said yes.
She said strange.
After that, I took a look at the screen.
There was a cross on the cashless sign.
But since I was still driving, I decided to rectified after the customer left.
So she tell me to on the meter again after the customer alighted.
But after way through, I discover that the cross disappeared.
So I called the call center.
The lady said its on, so no more worries.

PS:
This proved that CDG had almost all control over the hirer.
The CDG call booking service is their main business.
Or else they won't be so nice to call and check if you

Cabby slapping passenger

Comfort DelGro has terminated the hiring agreement of a taxi driver who assaulted STOMPer Francis after he refused to pay the additional cab fare accumulated from travelling to a nearby ATM when the NETS system in the cab was not working.

Comfort DelGro has stated that the taxi driver should not have charged the STOMPer extra and that he should have handled the situation better.

In an earlier email to STOMP, the STOMPer said:

"I have lodged a police report against the driver of the taxi with the license plate number SHC0813K, who overcharged me and slapped me on my left cheek on 26 March 2012 at around 8.57pm.

"I boarded his taxi at the road side along Funan DigitaLife Mall after a long day of working a 12 hour shift at work, as I thought it would be a comfortable and convenient ride home.

"Upon reaching my destination, the taxi driver stopped the meter at $15++ inclusive of the peak hour charges.

"I told him that I would pay by NETS as I did not have any cash on hand.

"The driver then tried to process the NETS transaction twice, but unfortunately the transaction failed to go through both times.

"I do understand that sometimes the system may be faulty, so I suggested making a cash withdrawal at the nearest ATM so that I could pay him for the trip.

"Upon reaching the ATM, a man was standing there because his ATM card was stuck inside the machine and he was trying to rectify the problem.

"I led the driver to Eunos MRT station, where I found an ATM and withdrew some cash.

"I then returned to the taxi and the driver offered to drive me back to my final destination again.

"When I was in the taxi, I was surprised that the taxi driver had continued to run the meter and charge me.

"The final bill amounted to $18 instead of $15++.

"As he drove, I questioned him on why he turned on the meter back on again and he replied: "If you have anything that you are unhappy about, you can complain to my company."

"I told the driver that I would only pay him $15 instead of $18.

"I got off the taxi and called Comfort Delgro to file a complaint, and was attended to by CSO Sabrina.

"While I was talking to Sabrina, the driver bumped into the front part of my body twice and challenged me to a fight.

"The driver then used his right hand to slap my left cheek once, however I did not retaliate.

"On the phone, our conversation and background were recorded before a report to the police was made regarding the din that the driver had created.

"He had also shouted: "If you do not have money, don't take a taxi."

"I do not see any reason why taxi drivers should be able to cheat and vent their anger on passengers."

Responding to the STOMPer, a representative from Comfort DelGro wrote:

"We have conducted an investigation including listening in on the recording of your call to our call centre. We note that angry words were exchanged on both sides and believe the situation was very heated.

"We agree with you that the driver should not have charged you extra and should most certainly have handled the situation better. As a Limo driver, much more is expected of him and we have decided to terminate his hiring agreement with us as he is not able to represent the Company and what it stands for.

"With regards to the alleged assault, we believe the Police will handle this and will certainly assist where needed."

STOMPer Francis has rejected the complimentary taxi vouchers offered by Comfort DelGro after he was assaulted by a taxi driver on the night of March 26.

The STOMPer had refused to pay the additional cab fare accumulated from travelling to a nearby ATM as the NETS system in the cab was faulty. However, the taxi driver became aggressive and even slapped the STOMPer.

A representative from Comfort DelGro said in a statement issued on March 27 that the taxi driver's hiring agreement has been terminated.

STOMPer Francis was also offered complimentary taxi vouchers but has since declined to receive them, saying he 'just wants to move on'.

In his response to Comfort DelGro, STOMPer Francis wrote:

"I just want to point out the flaw in your taxi meterings and also the violent behavior of your staff.

"I decline to receive the vouchers and I just want to move on."

PS:
Story too one sided.
I don't believe that the passenger is totally innocence.
But who start the fight 1st is wrong.
Fighting is wrong and will not settle anythings too.

$1,210 taxi fare?

STOMPer confusedpassenger took a taxi at midnight and opted to pay by NETS. However, the receipt issued showed a total amount of $1210.78 and stated the trip ended in the year 2052.

Said the STOMPer:

"This is the most expensive taxi receipt I've seen.

"I took a cab on March 14, around midnight, from Bugis to Marine Terrace.

"The ride lasted for about an hour, and the actual fare on the meter was about $47.

"However, when I chose to pay by NETS, the receipt issued showed a total of $1210.78, and had many things I had never seen before, like discount and so many surcharges.

"In the end, the cabby asked me to withdraw money from a nearby ATM and pay by cash as the machine was faulty.

"This is the first time I've seen something like this."

PS:
Nets machine gone bonkers.
But Bugis to Marine Terrace after midnight also don't cost $47.
The most is pay $20...still got change.
So something is wrong.....

Stupid molester!

A woman in her 20s, the wife of a Gurkha, was allegedly molested by a half-naked man at a petrol kiosk in Upper Aljunied Road on Sunday evening. Four Gurkhas and two police officers came to her rescue, pinning down the man.

According to a report in Shin Min Daily, the incident happened at around 5.45pm on March 18 at the Esso petrol kiosk beside Hotel Windsor. The woman was withdrawing money from an ATM in the convenience store there when a man clad only in jeans suddenly gave her a 'bear hug' from behind.

The man, a Singaporean in his early 30s, had shocked the woman, who screamed and then angrily questioned the man, according to an eye-witness. An off-duty Gurkha who happened to be standing outside saw the frantic woman chase after the man. Sensing something was not right, he stopped the man from leaving.

The man, described as very tall and big-sized, tried to escape, but other off-duty Gurkhas arrived to lend a hand. Two policemen also arrived at the scene to arrest the man. It took four Gurkhas and two policemen to subdue the man.

The woman is a wife of a Gurkha and stays in a dormitory near where the incident occurred.

Said STOMPer Gee who read the news report:

"Luckily it was only a bear hug and nothing else. However, still freaky.

"The man was also described as very fierce looking.

"However, he chose the wrong woman to target. She's the wife of a Gurkha soldier, and the Gurkhas are widely regarded as the most fearsome fighters in the world."

PS:
This molester is really dumb!
He never recce for more info about that area?
Almost everyone know that area has a Gurkha police camp.
And when they do run around the area.
So he chose the wrong area and target.
And now he pays for his crime.
Glad that this molester is caught.

Low crime don't mean no crime!

A park soccer game in UK ended with the biggest score in history.
And the goals are from only one side.
This game also produced 4 players whom scored more than 10 goals each.
Guess these 4 players done something that World Soccer Player of the year hasn't yet done it.

Is luck important to cabbies?

Is luck important to cabbies?
I know some will say yes and some will say no.
(Majority of no will come from Limo drivers)
To me, I will say yes.
Of course, one will also need to be hardworking too.
But why I said yes?
1. Able to get customers continuously without searching.
(That means you will have customer waiting when you let customer alight)
2. Able to get customer even at quiet place.
3. Not stuck in traffic jams.
4. Everything will go smoothly.
If these are not luck, than I don't know what they can be call.

Taxi booking = Stress money?

Taxi booking = Stress money?
That is what 1 taxi uncle told me.
Cos you need to rush within the time.
Also need to worry if it will be cancel.
A cabby called Peter Lim wrote in to Straits Times forum talking about it.
But he only talked about advance booking only.
But the real fact happens to current booking too.
Most cabbies that accept booking jobs, will meet with at least 2 last minute cancels per day.
So what that taxi uncle said is quite true.
But for me, I will usually reject booking if there is a customer within in my sights.
Or if its too difficult to get there on time.
So fellow cabbies, take it easy.
Do what is within your means.
No point if get into accident because of it.

Taxi uncle's molest case

A cabby was on Tuesday cleared of two charges of molesting an 18-year-old girl after compounding the offences.

Mr Leow Hock Soon, 62, paid $1,200 to settle the matter.

He was originally charged with causing wrongful restraint to the girl when outraging her modesty twice in a cab along Woodlands Industrial Park E9 on the morning of Sept 27, 2010.

The charges were amended to simple molestation by the prosecution.

Mr Leow was given a discharge amounting to an acquittal on both charges.

The victim, who was in court on Tuesday, confirmed that she has received the money.

The maximum penalty for molestation is two years' jail, fine and caning.

PS:
Wonder if this cabby got mental illness?
Or else why do it in the morning when more people moving around?
What really made the cabby do it?

Why argue over this stupid thing?

A cabby attempted to find fault with STOMPer Carol at a petrol kiosk for her parking too close to the taxi last evening (Mar 18). When a bystander came up and supported the STOMPer's cause, the cabby challenged him to a fight.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I stopped my car at a Caltex petrol kiosk at Jurong West around 7.30pm yesterday (Mar 18) for my two-year old daughter to drop off her dad's mail into the letter box as she enjoys doing that.

"I parked my car in front of a Transcab taxi and was about to head into the kiosk store when the cabby confronted me about my vehicle.

"He tried to pick a fight with me for parking too close to his taxi, making his vehicle unmovable.

"When I told him that all he had to do is just reverse as there was no cars behind him, he continued arguing with me.

"Am I supposed to park my car three feet away from his car and cause a hindrance to other vehicles moving out of the kiosk instead?

"He even challenged a bystander, who sided with me, to a fight and accused him of siding with a woman so I asked the bystander to let me handle it as I didn't want to get the other party into any trouble.

"The cabby even told me I should pay him for his time that was wasted; I told him, instead, that he should stay put while I call the police but the quarrelsome man drove off instead.

"My daughter was so frightened she was crying in the car.

"Is this the kind of cab drivers we want on the road?

"What if he lords it over a meek woman or a tourist?

"Will let Transcab know about this and hope they do something.

"I feels people complain too much over trivial stuffs sometimes, but this incident is ridiculous and totally unnecessary."

PS:
Two adults behaving like 2 small kids.
Fighting over such small matters.
Each believing each is right.
Refusing to solve such a small matter.
And now become a joke for all to laugh at them.

Cleaner aunty's story

Today pick up a cleaner aunty customer.
She asked if $8 was enough for a ride from Bayshore to Tampines.
I asked her which part of Tampines.
After she told me, I said might be short of some lose changes.
But in my mind, I already made up my mind not to accept her full fare.
So I drove her.
Along the way, she told me about she would take bus if not for rushing home.
And also her sons going back to camp.
She had 5 sons.
1st son passed away.
3rd and 4th son currently in NS.
5th son still studying.
2nd son is a pilot.
He never help to look after the family.
And he sever ties with her because of their HDB flat.
Till now they got no contacts.
So when the meter hit $6, I stopped it.

PS:
How true is this, I don't know.
But I know its stupid to sever ties with parents over money.

Accident at airport budget terminal

A male Chinese National apparently took over a taxi after assaulting the cabby early this morning (March 17), then proceeded to crash it at the Budget Terminal, killing a cleaner.

STOMPer Rachel wrote:

"Accident at Budget Terminal this morning.

"From Tweets, it seems a cleaner was injured/died from the crash."

A spokesperson from the SCDF said:

"The SCDF received a call at 6.52am on March 17.

"1 ambulance was dispatched.

"Paramedics pronounced 1 male Indian in his 30s dead.

"An injured Chinese male in his 30s was also conveyed to Changi General Hospital."

According to a statement released by Comfort Delgro, the 30-year-old Chinese National started getting violent with the taxi driver during a cab journey. The cabby then activated the distress button and got out of the cab.

Police said the passenger was later seen re-entering the taxi and drove towards the direction of the Budget Terminal. A 34-year-old cleaner died after he was hit by the taxi driven by the Chinese National at the driveway in front of the Budget Terminal.

The Chinese National was detained at the scene.

Police investigations are still ongoing.

PS:
OMG...how did it happened?
Condolences to the dead man's family.
And hoped the injures get well soon.
Drivers, pls drive carefully.
Pedestrian, pls be carefully on the road.

Pls keep the cab clean

STOMPer 8338 found this message, pasted on the back of a taxi seat, hilarious. It was to remind passengers to keep the taxi clean.

Said the STOMPer:

"These photos were taken when I was onboard a cab driven by a young lady.

"I found them hilarious."

PS:
Sadly...alot of people still didn't realised that eating is prohibited on board cab.
No matter how highly educated, they still didn't realised about it.
Either that or they don't a darn care about it.

When Cabby meet Mr Robber...& his wife

The wife of a man who apparently robbed a cabby caused a scene near Admiralty MRT Station this morning (Mar 15) when she hit her own child to stop police from arresting her husband.

STOMPer Donny, who took a photo of the incident, said:

"I heard screams when I was having my breakfast near Admiralty MRT Station at about 8.30am today.

"A taxi driver was apparently robbed. When the police arrested the robber, the robber's wife tried to stop the police by hitting her own baby.

"The screams I heard could be from the child who was hit by the woman.

"I found this out from passersby who witnessed the drama."

PS:
Cabby was lucky that he wasn't harm.
Robber was unlucky to get caught.
Wife tried to rescue hubby by hitting child to stop his arrest.

Hotel private taxi queue?

he concierge at Royal Plaza Scotts barred STOMPer Jaslin from taking a cab at the hotel's 'private' taxi queue as she was not a guest of the hotel, despite the fact that she was carrying her baby and it was raining.

Said the STOMPer:

"I went to the Royal Plaza Scotts to enquire about hosting my baby's first birthday party.

"When I was leaving, the concierge would not let me get a taxi because I was not considered a guest of the hotel since my visit was only for an enquiry.

"Firstly, the hotel is operating on a public street and taxis are considered public transportation.

"Legally, they have no right to dismiss people from queuing up for public transportation.

"Secondly, this hotel only considers you worthy if you have spent some money today.

"I guess me patronising their buffets did not count.

"I was carrying my 12 month old baby and it was raining.

"This is the level of service in a supposedly service oriented business.

"Would I give them any future business? No way!"

PS:
With the revolution of internet, there is no hiding anymore.
I know that sooner or later this will come out.
Are our society going backwards?
This is really stupid.

Cabby's botched U-turn results in crash with car

STOMPer asdfghjkl was at Tanjong Katong Road when she saw a taxi-driver make a sudden U-turn and crash into another car.

Said the STOMPer:

"At about 6.30pm yesterday, I was near a stretch of shophouses at Tanjong Katong Road when I saw this incident.

"This black car was travelling at the busy Tanjong Katong Road.

"A Comfort taxi travelling along the same road made a sudden U-turn and collided with the black car.

"It is such a busy stretch of road, obviously you cant U-turn.

"Seriously, what was the driver thinking?

"Do take note drivers, be aware of cars making sudden U-turns!"

PS:
All drivers really need to be more careful.
You never know when you will meet with an accident.

Robot 'girlfriend' and 'boyfriend'?

Robot 'girlfriend' and 'boyfriend'?

If you are still single by age 40, fear not, for you will have an option of dating a Japanese 'girlfriend' or 'boyfriend'.

With the creation of these life-like Japanese robot girlfriend and boyfriend, loneliness will soon be a thing of the past.

These realistic humanoid robots were created by Kokoro, a robot venture and Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). The female robot is an exact replica of an actual human model in Japan.

These robots not only look real, they are also able to make a variety of facial expressions and even speak and apparently respond to a variety of questions.

STOMPer IUIU wrote:

"This reminds me of the Japanese manga, Absolute Boyfriend, in which the female protagonist was given a 'perfect boyfriend' (a robot) for a three-day trial!

"Who knows the creators might have drawn their inspiration from the manga!

"Anyhow, I hope the creators can create better-looking male robots, like the ones in the drama adaptations of the manga!

"I wonder how much something like this will cost and whether or not it will be made available to the public."

PS:
Have we really come to this stage that we will need robot as replacement buddy?

Carrot head or Player?

I am wondering whether those players in the flirting scene are really players or carrot head?
If you think I only talking about the guy players only...you are wrong.
I am talking about both guy and gal players.
Why am I talking about it?
Cos recently I been having players and their 'preys' as customers.
Sometimes they are together, sometimes only one party.
So from what they chat, you will be able to know the relationship.
The fun part is when the so call preys came together to chat.
So in the end, who is the player or who is the prey?

Here were the conversion between 2 KTV gals.
Let state them as 1 and 2.
1: How much you think we can earn today?
2: Around $150-$200.
1: So your suitor A coming today?
2: Yes, he called me just now. How about yours?
1: No, but suitor C coming. Suitor B brought me out this morning.
2: Haha...My suitor D just bought me a LV bag yesterday. Suitor E just passed me $300 today.
1: Suitor F trying to play mind games with me.
2: Haha...So you also play with him?
1: Yes, I didn't contact him for 3 weeks and he contacted me after that.

This is just part of their conversion.
So really wonder how many sugar daddies/mommies each of these people have?
No wonder so many these people love to come to Singapore to 'earn' money.
Even they know they are taking a risk coming here.
So those human rights reports about people being forced to prostitution.
Are they really being forced or they enter willingly?
And these so call players...are they willingly be carrot head?

PS:
I did sent a lady customer to pick up her toy boy and to their party area.
So nowadays, even the gals play too.

More changes for cabbies?

Looks like more changes for cabbies?
Whether for good or bad...only time will tell.

Dear reporters,
The news report got some wrong.
As far as I know, all Comfort Delgro taxis can't anyhow use 'on-call' sign.
Pls get the facts right.
Also, pls don't just report one side of the story only.
Do you all know that there are customers whom called for taxis but never show up?
Do you all know that this will caused those taxis to be on down time for at least 15min?
Do you know that there are customers will cancel bookings when taxi is near?
(even when taxi is on time or arrived earlier)

Is this cabby on Stomp totally at fault?

STOMPer Dat Mago caught this taxi driver on camera. swerving into his lane recklessly to pick up a passenger.
When confronted, the cabby challenged the STOMPer to issue him with a 'fine'.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I was sending my wife to work, with my 2 children, when this taxi driver dangerously cut into my lane to pick up a passenger who flagged him down.

"Luckily, I managed to jam the brakes although it caused me to skid a little bit.
The car behind nearly knocked into me as well thanks to this driver.

"To make matters worst, he even said to me, 'fine me lah. What the hell, man'.

"Luckily, I have a dashboard installed to record this incident.

"So, taxi drivers, please don't jeopardize the lives of other people!"

Just my neutral views:
To this taxi uncle,
Try to be more careful.
Also no need to argue.
It will only make matter worst.

To this STOMPer,
Maybe you forget to check your blind spot before you speed up.
 Also no need to argue.
Learn to live and let live.

Cabby dancing to the beat of 'Staying alive'

STOMPer WJ Lu says this stout taxi driver was blasting 'Staying Alive' and grooving along to the music outside his taxi, all while someone seated in the front passenger seat watched.

The STOMPer described the bizarre incident:

"This crazy taxi driver was dancing outside his cab at 1am!

"He was blasting music and grooving along to the beat. He sure got the neighbourhood going MAD!

"Throughout the entire 20-30 minutes, he was totally engrossed in the music, doing all kinds of dance moves, and playing all genres of songs.

"The cabby is either drunk, or has totally lost his sanity to be dancing at 1am in public!
"After 15 minutes or so, a guy went up to chide him.
"Despite that warning, he continued to dance for another 10 minutes before getting back into his cab."

Just my neutral views:
To this taxi uncle,
You want to dance, no one can stop you.
Pls don't choose a residential area.
Also pls keep the music down...especially its already passed midnight.
You no need to sleep, other people need to.
Aiyo...another bad story for all honest cabbies.

Taylor Swift takes ill teenager to ACM Awards

Taylor Swift takes ill teenager to ACM Awards

Taylor Swift is a country pop singer from USA.
I got know her when I 1st heard her song 'Back to December' on the radio.
As I hear more of her songs, I find them nice and meaningful.
Its refreshing to have more of these type of meaningful songs.
Reports was that she is quite a down to earth girl.
How true...we won't know unless we know her personally.
But this report of her asking a leukemia boy to be her date to the 47th Academy of Country Music Awards.
It was really kind of her.
Seldom you will see big stars do this.
So she belong to the rare type.
Taylor Swift, I salute you!

Pick up the same customers on the same day without pre-arrangement

Dear fellow cabbies,
Have you all pick up the same customers on the same day without pre-arrangement?
Well, I had.
I picked up 4 customers again without pre-arrangement booking.
That day, I had to drive full day.
In the morning, I picked up 4 customers around central area.
I sent them to their company around Changi area.
In the evening, when I was at Changi area, I got an on-call booking.
When I reached the location, I realised that I had been there in the morning.
Soon, 4 customer broad my taxi.
And the front seat customer said: ‘Hey guys, we got the same taxi as in the morning.’
I took a closer look.
OMG….its really them.
So I sent them back to where I had picked them up in the morning.
This situation is so rare……still my one and only.

Boy...if you think this was rare.
You be surprised with this next story.
I didn't encounter this...but one of my kopi cabby kaki.
He picked up the same customer 4 times in the same day.
He was surprised...so was this customer.

How true is this story?
I don't know.
Fate is a strange thing.
Unless you encounter it...or else you won't believe it.
